Béchamel without flour - low carb and ketogenic

Bechamel is a commonly used sauce especially in lasagna and baked pasta. This reinterpretation does not involve the use of flour as a thickening agent, thus making it low carb and keto-friendly.

Ingredients

  • 40g of Butter

  • 125g of cream cheese

  • 125ml of heavy cream

  • Nutmeg (to taste)

  • 1/2 teaspoon of Xanthan gum

Directions

    In a saucepan, add butter, cream cheese and cream and put on medium heat until they are all melted.

    Once dissolved, add the nutmeg and continue to mix until amalagamare.

    Now add the xanthan gum and continue mixing quickly until you get a thick and creamy cream.
